Writer.  Dreamer.

My name is Erica Pawluk. I have cerebral palsy and weighed 14 ounces when I was born! At the time of my birth in 1993, I was the smallest baby to ever survive at the size of 14 ounces in my home state of SC.  I earned a Bachelor's degree in Media Arts from the University of South Carolina in 2017. I'm a screenwriter, story writer, and filmmaker.

I was thirteen when I realized I wanted to create stories for a living. I grew up in a very creative family and they supported me from day one! What I like best about screenwriting is crafting the dialogue. Where do my ideas come from? I have vivid dreams. I keep the story in my head and then put it on paper. I sit down and start typing without having to think about what I'm writing-it comes naturally to me. What I hope to do through my work is inspire my audience!

There are not a lot of disabled people working in Hollywood, either in front of the camera, behind it, or backstage.

My other interests include listening to music, hanging out with my friends and my family, swimming,   loving on my two dogs-my beautiful American Staffordshire Stormi and incredible chocolate pitbull lab named Tali. I love to read and watch TV and films so I can learn. Two of my favorites are The Good Doctor and Heartland.
